The holiday park - Village de
vacances Les Arvernes - is situated in the Auvergne region in the hart
of France, roughly 350 km south of Paris.

The Auvergne region is known for its
magnificent scenery and many typical French villages where you can still
experience the real French country life. Most important economical activity
has always been and still is agriculture, but tourism is growing at a fast
rate. Partly because of the new highway Paris - Nevers, the traveling time
to reach this part of France has been reduced dramatically, and the region
is becoming an attractive holiday destination.
The attractive scenery of the Auvergne region is protected by the management
of two national parks: "Parc Naturel Régional du Livradois Forez" and
the "Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne". The national
parks offer many possibilities for all kinds of sports and leisure
activities.
The Auvergne region has a continental climate. In the summer the weather is
warm and dry and during daytime the temperature can easily reach 30 °C. In
the evening the temperature cools down assuring a good nights rest. In the
winter it is quite normal to have snow here and the Mont Dore, close to
Clermont Ferrand, is an excellent skiing location.
Village de vacances Les Arvernes can easily be reached by car. From
Paris take the A6 towards Lyon and then take the A77 to Nevers. Continue
your route through Moulins, Varennes-sur-Allier, Vichy.
