Les Arvernes

The holiday park "Les Arvernes" is a small scale park with only 9 holiday homes in total.
The surface is close to 2ha (20.000 m2) leaving plenty of room for the children to play, safely away from any traffic. The play ground offers a swing, table tennis, volleyball court, jeu de boules court, small soccer field.
 

Lachaux

The village Lachaux is situated at 900m from the park. Lachaux is a typical French countryside village with 300 inhabitants. In the village you will find the local bakery and the village bar, acting as post office and newspaper/magazines shop at the same time. A tennis court is present in the village.

With Lachaux as its starting point, several well marked walking routes with various lengths have been created. Nearby you can find the small fishing lake "Etang Malforet".
 

In the region

Your holiday home is situated in the national park "Parc Naturel Régional du Livradois Forez". In a magnificent environment you can perform many activities like walking, mountain biking, horse riding, swimming, mountain climbing, fishing, make tours on a quad bike, canoeing, play golf, ballooning etc.

Châteldon is a nice village nearby with several shops where you can do your daily shopping. Larger cities are Vichy and Thiers. Vichy is known for its thermal baths and offers many luxurious shops. Thiers is the heart of the knife making industry and offers small streets, nice shops and several terraces.

On less than an hour drive, south of Clermont Ferrand, you enter the national park: "Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne". Here you can visit the famous volcanoes of the Auvergne, go to the summit of the Puy de Dôme and visit the theme park “Vulcania” which is entirely dedicated to volcanoes.
